This lesson explains some of the fleet management's function and objectives as well as the risk and priorities of managing a humanitarian fleet. It explains the process of vehicle lifecycle management - managing the entire lifecycle of a vehicle from acquisition to operation and finally disposal. It also looks at the total cost of ownership of vehicles in the fleet and the importance of measuring and monitoring fleet performance and what can be achieved with the analysis of these findings.
