The learning course is for all employees within IOM who interact with migrants, people impacted by crisis and other affected communities.
By the end of the course, the learner should be able to:
• Describe older people in migration and humanitarian settings;
• Explain the Life Course Approach and how it shapes our understanding of ageing;
• Describe unique barriers older people face in accessing services; and
• Identify and describe enablers that promote a more inclusive approach to increasing the participation and inclusion of older people.
This course includes the IOM Tip-Sheet on ‘Older People and Migration’ and an optional Participant Workbook with additional exercises. You can download these materials after completing the final quiz.
